about

After the multitudes of earthquakes, tsunamis and the subsequent nuclear disaster hit Japan I really wanted to help the survivors. What I had in mind was to make chip music, sell them and donate to relief efforts of Japan.

I decided that what I should do is make a "single" of Jonathan Coulton's "Code Monkey" b/w "The Big Boom", sell it on bandcamp and donate all the proceeds to a charity, because Jonathan Coulton licenses his music in such a way (i.e. Jonathan Coulton licenses his music with a BY-NC Creative Commons license).

All proceeds, except for bandcamp and paypal fees, go to the Red Cross' Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami fund.

UPDATE: Due to the aftermath (pardon the pun) of Hurricane Sandy, funds will still go to the Red Cross, but to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy instead of the Japan Earthquake.

If funds get paid to bandcamp, I will pay the red cross out of my own pocket.

about

Iron Curtain Brooklyn, New York

I make chip music, and am based in Brooklyn, NY, USA. My mother, Dorothy Siegel, did the same back in 1978 (seen here: www.vintagecomputermusic.com ), making me a second generation chip musician. I play the Game Boy with LSDJ, as well as other retro game systems.
